The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Remi Verrier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. We say that the hour of death cannot be forecast, but when we say this we imagine that hour as placed in an obscure and distant future. It never occurs to us that it has any connection with the day already begun or that death could arrive this same afternoon, this afternoon which is so certain and which has every hour filled in advance. Watching a peaceful death of a human being reminds us of a falling star; one of a million lights in a vast sky that flares up for a brief moment only to disappear into the endless night forever.
There is no fear of the cycle of birth, life and death. For when you stand in the present moment, you are timeless. Watching a peaceful death of a human being reminds us of a falling star; one of a million lights in a vast sky that flares up for a brief moment only to disappear into the endless night forever. Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us, our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life. As we look deeply within, we understand our perfect balance. We pray that you find comfort in the happy memories of Remi that you have.

Condolence: To Remi's Family,
Remi and I were friends in college and the ten years or so after. I have very fond memories of the times spent with him. We had lost touch, but I saw Remi a year or so ago at a UCONN football game. He was smiling and happy. I'm glad we got a chance to catch up and that my memories of Remi are filled with smiles and a lot of laughing. I am deeply, deeply sorry for your loss, and I pray that you find comfort in the happy memories of Remi that you have.

Condolence: I met Remi when he moved next door to my mother's house in Trumbull about a decade ago. We became friends as I enjoyed his enthusiastic approach to life and sense of humor. One day he walked over to say hello and ending up spending 2-3 hours reading chapters of a book to my blind mother. (She never forgot this) I regret that a golf get together we planned 2 months back had to be cancelled due to the extreme heat. Condolences to the entire Verrier family. Remi was a good man and is already missed.....
