Condolences

Condolence From: Roger Beck
Condolence: I am a good friend of Vinny's whom hasn't seen him, very unfortunately, since perhaps the early to mid 90s. On June 2, 2020, I decided to try and look him up, just to see what he was doing, maybe try to speak to him. Like a lot of us, Vinny and I grew older and grew apart, but I always believed I would see him again, and was absolutely heartbroken to find out about this. It has affected me so deeply that I am as shocked as losing a family member. I had NO idea he was no longer with us. You hear about people that the are kind and generous and wonderful etc, etc, but Vinny really was one in TEN million. I knew him, and saw him, and hung out with him almost every day from about 10th grade till 1982 or 83, probably about for 2-3 years after after we graduated, which we did together as well. "V.F.", as I called him, was both a buddy of a lot of my friends that he got to know through me, and I met so many people through him and his naturally gregarious personality that everyday was an hysterical laugh fest, largely due to Vinny. We saw so many movies together, and talked film so often (and about everything else, too) and my memories of him are so vivid I can't contain my grief. That's the kind of friend Vinny Farrell was. If someone can write me about him and tell me what happened, I would be grateful - Roger
