Obituary for Dolores Rossetti

Dolores Rossetti (nee Marquardt) died peacefully in her sleep with family members present at her side at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing Home in West Islip, NY on December 27 at the age of 84. Dolores is survived by her loving children; Linda Scalice (John), Joseph (Joyce), Susan Kuperstein (Harvey), Carol Cramer (Tom), John (Tracy), Mary Beth (Nicholas DeGennaro), and Richard (Jennifer). Cherished Grandmother of 10 and Great Grandmother of 3. She is preceded in death by her husband John Rossetti. Dolores was born on December 24, 1933 in Queens Village, NY to August and Anna Marquardt and worked as a registered nurse for over forty years.

Family will receive friends today, December 28 from 2–4pm and 7–9pm at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home, 424 S. Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY, 11757. Religious services at 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:45am on Friday, December 29 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 210 S. Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY, followed by a burial service at Breslau Cemetery in Lindenhurst.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Lady of Consolation Nursing Home or your favorite charity. The family would like to thank the staff of the nursing home for their care of Dolores.
