Kathleen Herringer, 87, our loving and devoted mother passed away on April 24, 2018. She is survived by her children, Jan, Linda, Mark and Ruth, as well as a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert. As a fully committed and active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lindenhurst, Kay served as the treasurer for many years. She was a member of the Mr. & Mrs. Club, the 50+ Club and the Sewing Bee. When the church was in need, she founded and organized St. John’s Thrift Shoppe which helped to financially support the church. She lived by her faith helping those in need and serving her community, including her many years of cooking and providing meals for the hungry. Her family will miss her passion for gardening and sharing in the bounty of her harvest. Kay loved to play all kinds of games and shared that love with her family and friends. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be forever in our hearts.
