How we met

I remember the day we met. I was in 10th grade. I was cutting class and just decided to ditch the rest of the day. walk home and As I walked down N. Indiana Avenue, you were walking down the same street. You said hello to me and I was in awe that you would even give me the time of day as I thought you were so handsome. I greeted you with a "hi" in return. As we walked down the street we struck up a conversation. In the midst of getting to know one another you asked where I was headed. I told you that I was headed home and my house was located up in North Lindenhurst. You replied with "Oh I am not going to make you walk all that way by yourself" And you didn't. Such a gentleman you were. From that point on we stayed friends and kept touch over the years. I loved seeing you perform and I loved your music. I loved that we were neighbors for two years and we able just to walk over to one another's house. I remember you sitting in my kitchen when I fessed up to you that when I was in high school I had a crush on you. The smile and expression on your face as it turned red. You told me that I made your day. I am so sad that we have not spoken in over 6 years. I am sad that I let you go. I miss you. And I will never forget you and the happy, kind and fun memories we had. Rest in Peace Jim. Love Randi
